Day 1: Arrival in Stege on Møn. (Arrival day without hiking
The tour starts in the town of Stege, the largest town on Møn, where you check in to your accommodation. (- / - / -)
Day 2: From Stege to Elmelunde
The days walk starts by crossing the bridge from Stege to Lendemarke, and goes out to the coast at Stege Bay with good views of Stege Harbour and Stege Church, and further towards the shallow coastal lagoon Stege Nor
A good part of the route will take place with a view of the lagoon Stege Nor. The walk continues through the so-called "southern town", Lille Bissinge, Bissinge, Tøvelde and Svensmarke
Before the days walk ends in Elmelunde, you pass through the villages Tåstrup and Keldbylille, heading north on the way to Råbylille Strand and Hjertebjerg. Accommodation in Elmelunde. Length: 18 kilometers. (B / - / D)
Day 3: From Elmelunde to Magleby
From Elmelunde the tour goes north towards the coast. Along the way you can see Nordfelt Manor house and looking east, you can see the landscape rising towards Møns Klint (Cliffs). The walk goes along the coast some of the time, and it can be a bit difficult to walk on the pebbles, but on the other hand, the sound of the waves, washing over the stones is very peaceful. Enjoy it before the route turns inland again and leads down towards Magleby where you will spend the night. Length: 13 kilometers. (B / - / D)
Day 4: From Magleby to Busene
From Magleby, the tour goes east through Sømarke and past Sømarke Dolmen and Liselund Castle with its romantic gardens. If you have the energy, then take the stairs down and up again at the devil's gorge. The contrast is very noticeable between the very manicured nature of the park to the wild nature at Møns Klint.
Carry on along the route towards Camping Møns Klint and turn towards the cliff, down through Jydelejet. Take a detour to Aborrebjerg, Møn's highest point 143 meters above sea level, from which there is a beautiful view. On clear days you can see all the way to Stevns in the north and the Møn and Farø bridge to the west. Today's hiking ends in Busene, right on the edge of Klinteskoven. Length: 13 kilometers. Day 5: From Busene to Stege
Today you will experience the south coast of Møn. The last day of the tour goes from Busene, along the coast of Hjelm Bay, up past Stege Nor, and back to Stege. Along the way, the cozy Klintholm harbour passes, and the impressive coast slopes out towards Hjelm Bay. You pass the area Busemarke marsh, which is Møns largest wetland, and spreads over an area of approx. 240 hectares. The area, consisting of moss, reed beds and meadows, is home to birds, insects, frogs and plant varieties. You pass Råbylille beach, which is one of Møn's best and most popular beaches, and then first take leave the coast west of Oddermose Strand. From here, the walk goes north towards Stege Nor, and Stege. The trip ends in Stege (approx. 23 km). (B / L / -).
ACCOMMODATION
During the tour you will travel to a new accommodation every day. You will stay in a double room with shared bathroom at the motel and a local Bed & Breakfast (B&B). Single rooms can be booked for an additional fee. In some places you must put your own bed linen on, but bed linen and towels are included in the price.
CATERING
The tour includes breakfast and dinner (except dinner on the day of arrival). In two places, dinner is one you must warm yourself, and in the other, the host will make dinner for you. At the accommodations you can order packed lunches for the next day's hiking. Drinks are at your own expense.
It is stipulated in the daily program which meals are included or not included in the price of the trip. (Breakfast/Lunch /Dinner).
WALKS
The days walks are between 13-22 km. The number of kilometers per day is given in the Day-to-Day description. This is an approx. indication as the number of km per day may vary, depending on which accommodation is reserved for you and how close to / far from the route it is.
Your luggage will be driven to the next place of accommodation, so you only carry a small backpack with the items you need for the days walk, such as lunch pack, beverages, rainwear, camera etc.
HOW TO GET THERE
Thetour starts at your place of accommodation in Stege, and you have to make sure to get to the starting point of the trip, by public transport or by private car. The accommodation is centrally located in Stege city, and there is free parking in several places in the area.
Start: The tour begins in Stege and can start Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. The first day is the arrival day without hiking. See www.krak.dk or www.rejseplanen.dk
End: The trip ends in Stege (after about 20 km of hiking). There is a bus station in Stege, where there is a bus to Vordingborg train station, from here to the whole country. See www.rejseplanen.dk
THE CAMØNOEN
Around Camønoen there are nine so-called Camønoe-pauses with approx. a day’s walk between them. The Camønoe-pauses are round benches built in sustainable wood. Here you can take a break with the locals, sit down and rest on the bench, refill your water bottle, use the toilet facilities and recharge your phone. You can also get provisions and information about the area that you are in. Additionally, you can also get your Camønoe-pass stamped at the Camønoe-pause, which is a fun memory to bring home.
